LIEV SCHREIBER (Sam Chaiton) was most recently seen in Miramax’s A Walk on the Moon
with Diane Lane and Viggo Mortensen. He will next be seen in the feature film Spring
Forward, directed by Tom Gilroy and produced by Michael Stipe, and Miramax’s Hamlet,
directed by Michael Almareyda. He will also be seen starring as Orson Welles in HBO’s
RKO:281, and the final installment of Wes Craven’s Scream trilogy.
Schreiber has had starring roles alongside Paul Newman in: Twilight; Dustin Hoffman in
Barry Levinson’s sci-fi epic Sphere; the international box office hits Scream and Scream II;
and the classic Dean Koontz horror Phantoms, with Peter O’Toole. He also gained attention
for his role as a kidnapper in the blockbuster hit Ransom, and as a transvestite in Nora
Ephron’s Mixed Nuts. A veteran of the independent scene, Schreiber starred in Party Girl,
The Daytrippers, Mad Love, Walking and Talking and Denise Calls Up.
A graduate of the Yale School of Drama, Schreiber spent a year studying at the Royal Acad-emy
of Dramatic Arts. Stage credits include: Harold Pinter’s Moonlight with Blythe Danner
and Jason Robards; Joanne Akalatis’s Broadway production of In The Summer House; the
New York Shakespeare Festival productions of The Tempest and Macbeth; and other roles in
such productions as All For One, Goodnight Desdemonia, Good Morning Juliet, Escape
